The site is located on the shore of Rutland Water, which is one of the finest fisheries in Europe where both rainbow and Brown Trout are to be found. The fishing lodge provides tuition and fishing courses for anglers.
There are excellent restaurants and bars around the lake. The nature reserve covers an area of 350 acres and there is as fantastic bird watching centre on the reserve.
The lake consists of 3,000 acres of water of which 2,000 is available for sailing, canoeing, windsurfing and fly fishing.
22 miles of cycle track around the lake with cycle hire facilities ensures you will keep fit on your holiday, or hop on the Rutland Belle which provides visitors with the opportunity to pleasure cruise on the lake.
The historic market towns of Stamford, Oakham and Uppingham are within 6 miles, and a cycle/footpath, pay & play golf course, driving range, garden nursery nature reserve, bird watching centre and visitor centre adjacent.
Directions
At the A1 Junction with the A606 head west on Stamford Road in 4.5 miles bear left onto Normanton Park Road, site on right in 3.75 miles. Watch for FOC signs.
