2006 Meridien range 

The Meridien is a new range for Fleetwood in 2006 and we’re justly proud of it. These 21st century Clubmans are descended directly from the Fleetwood Colchester range, the marque that has made Fleetwood famous for over 30 years.

We’re launching the Meridien range with five modern and stylish tourers. From the very first glance, we think you’ll love them. Outside, the Meridien’s styling is innovative. A one-piece rear elevation panel in high gloss ABS features a striking spoiler overhang with high-level brake light.

Open the door and the Meridien delivers a real home welcome. You’ll notice the Tosca home furnishing fabrics in an exclusive Chanel design, complemented by classic cream curtains with contrast tie-backs.

It’s a modern tourer with hard-wearing vinyl flooring, an especially contoured entrance mat, and worktops and tables that have been newly contoured for the new season.

The largest of the Meridiens is the new 560-5L, ideal for large families, which includes an L-shaped lounge both front and rear, with the rear lounge having a rearward-facing single seat behind a fixed bulkhead. At night time, this arrangement transforms into a large double bed with a substantial cantilever overhead bunk along the offside wall. A further option of an additional cantilever bunk on the nearside which allows the 560-5L sleep six or even seven if you put three children in the rear double. Kitchen space, always at a premium, in the 560-5L can be increased by folding up a substantial flap on the side of the unit.

2006 Features

The Meridien’s hard-wearing construction is based on an Alko chassis and running gear.

The range also benefits from an Alko ATS 3004 Stabiliser, Stabilform Corner Steadies and a Euro Overrun Device.

One alloy wheel is ready fitted with an Alko Secure Receiver to accept the complete Secure system.

Meridien 560-4EK

This four-berth4.5 metre Meridien has a large L-shape kitchen to the year that is perfect for relaxed family meals. There is a side end washroom area with separate shower and, at the forward end L-shaped seating converts into a double bed whilst the central dinette converts to a single bed with Pullman bunk overhead.

This all-new 5 metre five-berth tourer looks set to be a firm Fleetwood favourite. It’s a real family caravan with L-shaped seating at the forward end converting into a spacious double bed. A central sliding door leads to a tailor made children’s area with one long day seat on the rear off-side of the caravan. Opposite there is a dinette which converts into a single bed with Pullman bunk overhead. You could even choose to have an additional Pullman bunk on the off-side in order to create a six-berth Meridien. The practical kitchen is positioned centrally, as is the washroom and shower.

Meridien 520-4EB (Click here to see a review)  This popular 5 metre family four-berth Clubman has a large washroom and shower at the rear. At the forward end, parallel seating converts into two singles or one double bed. The central kitchen is positioned opposite a dinette area with Pullman bunk overhead.

Meridien 480-2EB

A classic ‘Clubman’ two-berth, 4.5 metre tourer. The 480 features a large washroom with shower across the rear. A neat kitchen occupies the central area and to the forward end there is seating with the facility for two singles or one double bed.

Meridien 380-2

This small and stylish two-berth 4 metre tourer has parallel seating at the forward end with the facility for two singles or one double bed. The kitchen occupies the rear along with a corner washroom and shower.

2007 Meridien range

The 2007 Meridiens build on the impressive launch that they made in 2006.  Highly individual layouts have been redesigned and the stunning exterior styling complements perfectly the interior feel and flair of a quality and distinctive Clubman touring caravan.

The construction of the soft furnishings in the 2007 Meridiens is of the highest specifications.  Built from premium density reflex foam, cushions on seating and beds are designed for long lasting comfort. 

You have the choice of three soft furnishing schemes - 'New Tosca', 'Lamborghini' and 'New Zambia' - each of which has been carefully designed to complement the gentle tones of the Meridiens woodwork and the high gloss hard wearing work surfaces.

To add to your comfort, all Meridiens have a pre-installed Status TV aerial and a high quality Blaupunkt radio/CD player linked to twin speakers with a discreet Fleetwood 'F' motif.

Meridien 560-6L - new for 2007

One of the most exciting and flexible layouts to be launched in the UK for a decade.  Three possible options at the back of the caravan.  Along the rear offside, a long day-seat converts into a single bed with a Pullman bunk overhead.  A second single bed and Pullman bunk over can be converted from the stylish dinette on the nearside.  If it suits you better, the whole area can also convert into one large double bed!

The freestanding table is big enough for the whole family and there's a perfect children's area with a dedicated TV/12v/230v station.

Meridien 560-i - new for 2007

Our new star is one of the first island bed layouts on a single axle.  The delightful double bedroom, through a sliding door at the rear of the caravan, boasts twin bedside lockers link by a canopy of roof lockers and shelving.  A separate vanity table and mirror has an adjacent power point for hair drying.  At the front, U-shaped seating converts into a double bed.  The central kitchen with full oven, refrigerator, and sink/drainer has impressive high-gloss work surfaces, whilst opposite a central washroom has a vanity sink, swivel toilet and walk in shower pod.

Meridien 560-EK

This individual layout is unique to Fleetwood.  Although technically a four-berth Clubman, the 560-EK is often chosen by couples who love the L-shape kitchen at the year with its vast work surfaces.  For 2007, these surfaces have been redesigned with a stunning high-gloss finish and provide the perfect complement to the new oven, sink and refrigerator.  The washroom has also been redesigned to provide a walk-in shower and separate basin and toilet area.  At the front, a central dinette with Pullman bunk over leads to comfortable U-shaped seating.

Meridien 520-EB

A perfect layout for couples and families.  Two long day-seats at the forward end have removable front chest between them for easy conversion into twin single beds or a large double.  The central dinette can also be converted into a single bed with a Pullman bunk overhead.  A spacious end washroom boasts a full wardrobe and shelving, walk in shower, Thetford swivel toilet, and wash basin set in a high-gloss black surface surround.  The centre kitchen has the new Spinflo Caprice, Dometic Power refrigerator, sink/drainer and generous high-gloss worktops.

Outside, we’ve added eye-catching new graphics, the finishing touch to a body design that draws admiring glances wherever it’s seen.

2008 sees the launch of a prestigious new member of our range, the Meridien 640-EKB, a six-berth, twin-axle family touring caravan which we believe is the best Clubman available today.

Innovation is a particular Fleetwood quality and we have focused our efforts on making the very best if the interior layouts in the rest of the Meridien range.

The rear washroom of the Meridien 480-2, for example, has been extensively updated and now features a spacious wardrobe and storage area. We’ve also updated the layout and design of the other Meridien interiors, creating and improving our innovative bedroom layouts, increasing available storage space and upgrading specifications throughout.

Meridien 640-EKB

New for 2008, this revolutionary twin axle Clubman offers stylish accommodation for families with up to four children. Seating at the front end converts into twin single beds or a large double bed; a central dinette provides a single bed with a Pullman Bunk overhead; whilst opposite is a unique fixed twin bunk area with a pivotal TV bracket. At the rear, you’ll find an L-shaped kitchen with massive workspace, and a corner washroom with a practical separate shower area.

Inside, Meridiens feel like a home from home.  We’ve designed new and striking range of upholstery choices for 2009, and combined these with fresh interior layouts that are designed to accommodate your needs perfectly, wherever you may be.

There are five Meridien clubman caravans in our 2009 range.  The four single-axle models (480-2, 520-EB, 560-I and 560-EK) feature the classic style and easy manoeuvrability for which this marque is renowned.  At the head of the range is the spacious, stunning twin axle 640-EKB.

The quality of finish throughout the range is striking.  New fabric choices enhance interiors that are already light and airy.

You’ll love the sheer practicality of the Meridiens – furnishing that are both, hardwearing and stylish, adaptable and cosy.

 

MERIDIEN RANGE

The model numbers are our shorthand way of outlining the specification of each caravan. The first three-figure number describes the body length of the caravan in question (the 480 has a body length of 480 cm or 4.8 metres for instance).

The second part of the range number outlines the internal features of the caravan. When the figure after the dash stands is a number, it stands for the number of berths (480-2 is a two berth model, for example). In the larger Meridiens, the letters after the dash are a shortened way of describing the internal layout (EB is ‘end bathroom’, EK is ‘end kitchen’).

Meridien 480-2 This two-berth single-axle clubman is deceptively spacious.
