Rub butter into the flour until mix resembles breadcrumbs.
Add baking powder, mix well, add milk carefully and mix to a spongy dough not too wet.
Knead lightly to make dough smooth, cut out scones with a small biscuit round cutter, brush with beaten egg,
Bake in a hot oven 220c / Fan oven 190c / Gas 7-8 for about 10 minutes
