The Website

The first website for Fleetwood Owners club was www.foc.nildram.co.uk.  It was set up by Colin Stockall, the editor of the Flyer, with the help of his son Adrian  and using illustrations provided by John Crawford one of the Club members.  The site included information about the Club; the 1999 Rally Programme; a summary of recent rallies with occasional photographs; and details of how to join.  The site also had a link to Fleetwood Caravans Ltd site.

The aim of the website was to spread the good word about the club, and hopefully, to recruit new members.

In 2004 Mel Smith set up a new website that he could run and update himself – www.fleetwood-owners-club.co.uk.  Membership forms could be downloaded from the website and there was a section for members only which was accessed by members using their name and membership number.

Following Fleetwood Caravans Ltd going in to Administration in 2009, owners looked to the Club for support that was no longer available from the factory.  I took on the role of Webmaster and extended the website to include information about the range of caravans that were produced through the previous 20 years.  This came from Sales Brochures, Handbooks and User Manuals which owners kindly donated or loaned to the Club.

At the beginning of 2011, we gave the site a new look and a ‘members only’ area was created on the forums which included Technical Queries - this allows members to share solutions to common problems.
We gave the site another facelift in 2013 and included an on-line application to join the Fleetwood Owners Club and the ability to re-new membership on-line, payment being made through PayPal.

There is now a Members Area which includes a Technical area and an area for Club Business where members can read official Club communications, Reports and Minutes from Meetings.

We've added on-line registration for attending rallies and electronic communications - you'll find copies of our e-Flyers and current e-Rallybook in the Members Area.

We reviewed the Question & Answers section in 2014 to make it easier for owners to find solutions to their questions and renamed it Information and Q&A.

..... and in 2015 we've started the year by reviewing where to find information on the website. We felt it would be easier to find information if it was grouped into Club and Fleetwood so:-

Fleetwood Owners Club information is now at the upper left of the website along with Members in its own menu, along with our Gallery,

Fleetwood Caravans, the Company and Caravan have been moved to a new menu on the lower left of the website along with Fleetwood Layouts, Fleetwood Gallery and Virtual Tours.

We've also expanded the Fleetwood Layouts and Fleetwood Gallery to include more of the Fleetwood Range including the Vanlander, a dealer special sold by Caravanland who sadly are also no longer trading.

Latest change for 2017

We have given the site a new modern look and introduced some new menus to access the Club information and the Support we provide for the Fleetwood brand.

This is the last change made by Jackie Jenkins.

We hope it has made things easier to find.
