Remembering Jean Brown 1934 - 2002

Last November we were on a Holiday Rally near Dawlish Warren with our local Caravan Club Centre and there were visitors from other Centres attending. The Caravan next to us was from Northants & Rutland Centre and we got friendly with the couple and chatted together about sites that we had been to.

 

Sywell was mentioned and we said we have been there with Fleetwood and it was rather a sad occasion as we were there to scatter the ashes of our late Treasurer, a Mrs Jean Brown and also to plant a tree in her memory.

(Her Husband Pat Brown was the 1st Chairman of Fleetwood Owners Club back in 1989).

 

They could not believe what we were telling them because they use the CL often and always wondered who Jean Brown was and they always water the tree when they leave.

 

They have sent us photo's of the tree and plaque beside it.
