Introduction - Rooflights

Fleetwood fitted Remis, Heki and Omnivents into their caravans.

From 2000, Fleetwood installed Remis RemiTop “tile and slide” roof light with night blind and flyscreen in the Heritage range. In 2009 this was changed to a Remis REMItop Vario I Rooflight.

You'll find more information on Remis products and Heki Rooflights on the manufacturers websites at the links below:

Cleaning the RemiTop

We get a number of enquiries asking how to clean the RemiTop rooflight

The Fleetwood manual suggests “a damp cloth, and if necessary, a normal household cleaner without abrasives or solvents”.

A special note says “DO NOT spray water under the cover. There is an air gap between the frame and the cover (for fixed air ventilation) through which water deliberately sprayed under the cover would enter the interior.”

There has been some discussion on the Forums in the Technical Area on whether to attempt removal or clean in situ.
