Making up the beds

From time to time we have owners asking how to arrange the cushions when converting their Fleetwoods from day-time to night-time layout.

The manuals invariable say 'Place the cushions as appropriate' - not very helpful to say the least.

Here are some layouts where we've had owners asking for help and the advice given from owners of similar Fleetwood Caravans.

If you have a layout that's not covered and you need help, or can give advice on one, please let us know.

Heritage 640 EB 3rd (Dinette) Bed

The Owners Manual says "Always lie on the cushions back face (ticking face)." As the Dinette cushions are irregular in shape they don't fit upside down - do they?

It is a 2008, with rectangular table, cloth upholstery and pull out slats

L Shape layout to Double Bed

I recently purchased a 2003 Colchester 560 EK4. It has an L shaped lounge with provision for a table on a centre column, remove this and pull out the slatted bed base from the longer part of the L and this then makes the double bed.

I have tried with no success on arranging the cushions to make up the bed.

Meridien 560-5L Rear Bed

Can anyone tell us how to make the rear seating area into a large bed as we always used it as singles?

Pullman Bunks

We have had a few questions regarding how the bunk beds in the late 80’s/early 90’s models fitted and where to store the associated cushions. Amongst them were:-

I am trying to work out the bunk bed for a Fleetwood Garland 165-5 think its 1989 model.  There are a couple of fittings and lower down a lip maybe for something to rest on?

I have a 1989 Garland 165-5. Any idea where I should store the three bunk cushions during the day? I can't put them in the wardrobe as going away with three kids means that it's full.

Sonata Prelude Bed

No matter which way I do it, I can't get the cushions to fit to make the front bed without a gap being left! This is driving me crazy as I think it should be filled well and without gaps?
