Q&A - How do you to turn the toilet light on as there is no pull cord?

Our toilet light in our 2004 Heritage 640-ES isn't working. The passage and shower lights are working OK.

Response

The pull cord in ours (a 2008) turns on the toilet, passage and shower lights and each light can be turned on and off with a switch next to the actual light.

Maybe the pull cord has come off with the switch in the on position and the bulb needs replacing.

We’ll ask someone with a 2004 Heritage to let us know how theirs works.

2004 Heritage Owners Response

It is as I thought our lights in the toilet the shower and passage are all independent with their own switch built into the surround.

As to the problem maybe the cord has come off with the switch in the off position which would mean the light wouldn’t work even with the main switch on. Depends what sort of light it is. Ours in the bathroom are recessed with a little toggle switch; the shower and bathroom are surface mounted 200mm in diameter with a rocker switch in the rim.  If it’s on the far side they won't see it. Can they send you a photo?

Feedback

Thank you for getting in touch, we have managed to get the lights to work, the bulbs had gone, but we have to switch them on the actual light itself there are little switches by each one, but whether there is another way to switch them on and off, I don't know
