I have noticed all too often that many caravanners fail to carry the most basic of tool kits. It is true that not everyone has the aptitude to be a mechanical or electrical mastermind, but anyone can carry out some basic checks before setting off.
Had difficulty pulling blocks out from under the van when the ground is a bit soft?
Are your caravan carpets looking tired and grubby?
