Q&A - Where can I find the Model Number on my 1994 Fleetwood Caravan?

How can I tell the difference? It’s a 4/5 berth and 1994 model.

Query

I’m thinking of buying a 1994 Fleetwood Garland but I don’t know the model number.

How can I tell the difference? It’s a 4/5 berth and 1994 model.

Looking forward to your reply

Response

The following models were made in 1994:

 Garland 128-2

Garland 148-2SB

 Garland 148-2EB

Garland 148-4EK

 Garland 165-EB

Garland 165-EK

 Garland 165-5

Garland 185-5 (Twin axle)

The first three numbers are the length eg 148 = 14ft 8in

The number after the dash is number of berths

The following letters refer to the layout i.e. EK = end kitchen, EB = end bathroom

You can determine the year by looking at the etching on the windows, it should have a 17 character number this is called a Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).

The 10th character indicates the model year R=94.  (N=92, P=93, S=95, T=96, V=97, W=98, X=99, Y=00, 1=01, 2=02 etc)
