We have no info about it i.e. weight, length and correct tyre pressure
Query
Hi there, my wife and I recently purchased a 1990 Fleetwood Garland caravan for our wedding present. It’s a good clean van for its age and everything works fine in it.
The problem is that we have no info about it i.e. weight, length and correct tyre pressure. At the moment there is about 35 psi in and they still look a bit soft.
Thanks for your help
Response
We don't yet have a manual for 1990 but will see if any of our members have. We do have data for 1989 which shows 35 psi as the correct pressure, however, the tyres will not be the originals. You may find it gives the pressure on the tyre wall.
With regards to the caravan weight, there should be a plate on the outside, usually low down near the door which will give you the MGW (Maximum Gross Weight). Since 1998, this is known to as MTPLM (Maximum Technical Permissible Laden Mass) and is the maximum the van can weigh with all your items inside it.
Update (2013)
We now have the manual for 1990
